THE CAMINO SERIES

Artist’s Statement:
The title of this painting series references pilgrimage, particularly in the Mediterranean countries, the Middle East, and North Africa, and the flight of refugees. Pilgrims undertake spiritual journeys as a way of connecting to a spiritual reality often not in view in everyday life. On the other hand, people in many parts of the world are on the march, fleeing war, hunger, and persecution, seeking refuge wherever they may live and work peaceably.
